“Spray It, Don’t Say It”

“Claw Money” opened at Eastern District in Williamsburg (or Bushwick, depending on who you ask), offering a DIY Brooklyn feel of its own. An array of (spray) paintings lined the walls, invariably featuring the artist’s signature claw icon in different colors - or perhaps colorways, as the artist has her own fashion line - sometimes with slogans and often with spray paint’s characteristic drips. While a couple of screen prints were refreshingly neat in contrast, the entire exhibition felt true to Claw Money’s graffiti roots and eye for fashion.
